Dallas resident Tim Timmons, long time Multiple Sclerosis sufferer and medical marijuana advocate, has passed on.
For over 20 years Tim was an outspoken activist for the availability and use of medical cannabis. He had even asked Governor Rick Perry to do him the honor of driving to Dallas and personally arresting him for the use of medical marijuana. In doing so, Governor Perry would show public compassion for the sick and the helpless. The Governor did not take Tim up on his offer.
The “Tim Timmons Medical Marijuana Compassionate Care Act Of 2011″ was submitted in Austin to the Texas Legislature in February of 2011, but failed to get out of committee.
Tim will be missed by all who knew him, or knew of him. He was fighting for the rights of all patients and he will never be forgotten.
